About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Dredge Operator for shore-based dredging operations in Qatar. Please note, this is a shore-based position and not an offshore or seafarer role.
The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in operating and maintaining heavy dredging equipment in land/port-based marine projects.
Key Responsibilities
• Operate cutter suction dredgers (up to 2000 HP) safely and efficiently
• Carry out dredging operations using clamshell dredgers, rock breakers, and hydraulic compactors
• Perform routine inspection and basic maintenance of dredging equipment
• Ensure safe excavation, removal, and disposal of materials as per project requirements
• Coordinate with site engineers and supervisors to meet production targets
• Maintain daily operational logs and report equipment issues
• Follow strict safety standards and company procedures
Requirements
Requirements:
4–6 years of relevant dredging experience (8+ years total experience preferred)
Strong experience in:
Cutter suction dredging (2000 HP)
Clamshell dredging operations
Rock breakers
Hydraulic compactors
Good understanding of dredging operations and safety procedures
Ability to work in shore-based/site environments
