About the Role
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to oversee the full contract lifecycle, ensuring contractual, commercial, and legal compliance and protecting the company’s interests. The role involves drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and managing contracts across projects, with a strong focus on risk mitigation and value optimization.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts and agreements, including Charter Party Agreements.
Provide contractual advice to internal stakeholders on risk allocation, claims, and dispute resolution.
Manage contract lifecycle from pre-award to close-out
Identify, assess, and mitigate contractual and commercial risks
Provide strategic advice to project teams on contractual matters
Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable laws
Handle claims, variations, and dispute resolution processes
Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders to resolve contractual matters
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in law, Business, Engineering, or related field
10+ years of experience in contracts/commercial management
Key Competencies:
Strong knowledge of contract law and commercial practices
Solid understanding of contract law, risk management, and claims handling.
Excellent negotiation and communication skills
Experience in construction, engineering, or infrastructure projects preferred
Exposure to claims management and dispute resolution
Preferred Skills:
Familiarity with Charter Party Agreement
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects
