About the Role
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise, train, and direct deck crews, including crane operators and roustabouts, ensuring tasks are assigned efficiently.
Oversee loading, storage, and monitoring of consumables, equipment, and materials.
Ensure the proper operation of the barge's spud system (winches), which is driven into the seabed to provide stability.
Prepare daily reports for fuel consumption and crew duties with their completed and ongoing tasks.
Respond to emergencies and manage immediate actions to ensure safety and operational continuity
Coordinate with maintenance staff for timely repairs and upgrades and maintain overall cleanliness and organization of the barge's deck.
Enforce safety protocols, ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, and conduct or supervise emergency drills.
Requirements
Skills and Qualifications:
Leadership: Ability to manage and motivate a team effectively.
Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of marine operations, including barge stability, rigging, and deck machinery.
Maritime Experience: At least 5 years’ experience with Hands-on experience in offshore activities. Certifications: Hold maritime safety qualifications like STCW trainings and certificates.
